Who Are You Called To Serve?

As believers, we are all called to serve, but the question is, where and whom are we called to reach? Throughout Scripture, we see examples of God guiding His people to specific locations and people, showing us that His calling is intentional and purposeful.

In Luke 10:1-2, Jesus sends His disciples ahead of Him, instructing them to prepare the way for His message. This wasn’t random; it was a strategic calling to reach those who were ready to hear. Similarly, in Acts 16:6-10, Paul sought to preach the Gospel in Asia, but the Holy Spirit closed the door. Then, through a vision, God revealed to Paul a new mission field in Macedonia. The Spirit led him exactly where he needed to go, showing us that there are people waiting for the Gospel in places we may not expect.

Finally, in Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus gave the Great Commission, sending His followers into the world to make disciples of all nations. This commission is not a vague command but a specific directive to reach all people, everywhere.

God has uniquely positioned your ministry to serve a specific people, and while the call to go is universal, it may be tailored to a location, community, or demographic. Just as Paul had a vision for Macedonia, your ministry may have a unique focus, but there are people out there who need what you have to offer.

Call to Action: If you haven’t already, take the time to pray and seek God’s guidance on who and where you are called to serve. Position your ministry to reach those individuals and groups that God has placed on your heart.

By aligning your efforts with His purpose, you’ll see lives transformed and the Kingdom expanded.
